Community Climate Action Fringe Coming Up
In Lockleaze, we’ve now been working on our Community Climate Action project for three years.
Hundreds of Lockleaze residents worked with us at Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust to form our Community Climate Action Plan, and from there we’ve supported our Community Climate Heroes, created an energy-efficient recipe book, developed the groundbreaking Really Wild Lockleaze Project and much more. Many communities across Bristol have been working on their own climate action plans, in a project coordinated by Bristol Climate & Nature Partnership and funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.
Now it’s time to celebrate our work! The Community Climate Action Community Fringe has opportunities to learn and celebrate with six different organisations. Click here to find the full calendar of Community Fringe events, from an allotment lunch in Lawrence Weston to a talk on Easton’s retrofit journey.

RSPB Bioblitz at Lockleaze Sports Centre. Sunday 8 June, 10am - 1pm. Really Wild Lockleaze has worked with local residents to create a mini nature reserve around Lockleaze Sports Centre with ponds, wetland, hedgerows, woodlands and wildflowers. Now we’re teaming up with the RSBP to do a Bioblitz! We’ll have a good look over the area and identify what’s growing, flying and thriving there. We’ll record our finds using cameras, phones, books and the iNaturalist app but don’t worry- no experience is needed. Book here.
