UWE Urban Planning students visit Lockleaze

Last week we welcomed 21 Urban Planning Masters students from UWE.

This is part of a twice yearly programme to enhance their learning and give them the opportunity to find out more about Lockleaze housing.

The visit consisted of a presentation about Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust and the work we have undertaken with residents and partners, including our Community Led Housing Project, the Local Lettings Policy and the regular housing support drop ins we have organised.

We also focused on community engagement and the ways we continue to keep our community connected by highlighting opportunities for residents to get involved and shape the future of Lockleaze.

We had a tour of each of the development sites and discussed the conversations around each.

We finished the morning with a presentation of the posters the students had created as part of a design challenge to promote and encourage residents to join the No Mow campaign, which you will soon see around Lockleaze.
