Local Residents and our Green Spaces featured in Photo Exhibition
Really Wild Lockleaze are really pleased to launch an exhibition of 23 brilliant photos from across the last three years of the projects. The photos have been taken by staff, participants and a few from brilliant photographer Jon Aitken, who visited several Really Wild Lockleaze events.
We can’t think of a better way to celebrate what Lockleaze residents have achieved, and we’ve already had some amazing feedback. Kit says, “Lovely to see what’s going on in the neighbourhood & see some familiar faces in action!”
You can visit the exhibition in the Hub, Tuesday to Thursdays 9am - 4pm, but if you’re coming specially you may want to call ahead at 0117 914 1129 to check there are no private groups using the hall. The Hub Hall is always open for Hubbub Cafe on Wednesdays between 10:30 and 13:30.
Really Wild Lockleaze is a project by Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust, supporting residents to rewild their gardens, housing greens, verges and all sorts of marginal and public land. We’ve also created a local Nature Network, held lots of workshops, started a bee monitoring group and much more! You can find out more at our website, facebook, resource page or by visiting the exhibition.
The project is part of the Community Climate Action Project, coordinated by Bristol Climate & Nature Partnership and kindly supported by the National Lottery’s Climate Action Fund.
