Rewilding our greens and verges

We have lots of housing greens and grass verges in Lockleaze, which could be incredible havens for wildlife and people. We are supporting keen residents and their neighbours to make a nature plan for their local green space and make it happen.

Live elsewhere in Bristol and want to do this sort of work? We will be creating a pathway with the council for residents to do this!

Our first greens will be Stanfield Close, Landseer Avenue and Thornycroft Close, then we will be looking for residents in the Nash Drive, Stothard Road, Highmore Gardens, and Hogarth walk who want to transform their verges!

Residents from the first wave of greens came up with exciting plans to transform the area of grass outside their house by adding, for example, wildflower meadows and fruit trees providing food and shelter for people and wildlife.

If you have a green or verge near you that you want to transform for nature, then get in touch!
