Poison-free streets:

We are looking to help residents who want to petition the council to stop spraying on their streets!

A chemical called Glyphosate has been used liberally in the past to control weeds on our streets, however with evidence now emerging that it may be harmful to living organisms, residents are becoming concerned with the impact it may have on us, our children and pets. The world health organisation lists glyphosate as a probable carcinogen and evidence is emerging that it can disrupt gut health.

We are keen to support residents who do not want glyphosate sprayed on their streets. We can provide you with a petition and other materials to use to get support from your neighbours, as well as supporting you to organise community action days to clear your street weeds in a way that doesn’t harm your health.
