Meet the team at Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust

antonio - operations manager

About me: I’ve been resident in Lockleaze for the past 20+ years. In the past I have been a full-time youth worker and managed the onsite IT for secondary schools plus much more!
What do you love about Lockleaze?:
When we moved to Lockleaze, it was often referred to as the forgotten quarter. Yet together in this forgotten place was a community, a varied melting pot of cultures and ethnicity. That continues to love and embrace both its own history and future.
What should people talk to you about?: Anything they like.

suzanne - chief executive

About me: I love working here and having the opportunity to be part of a team making the world a little bit better. I also love books, films, binge watching medical dramas and post-apocalyptic dystopias. Also, great vegetarian places to eat in Bristol.
What do you love about Lockleaze?: Full of awesome people and loads of green space.
What should people talk to you about?: Talk to me about making cool things happen in Lockleaze, housing developments, Lockleaze Community Climate Action and Really Wild Lockleaze, fundraising and joined working in Lockleaze.

gail - finance administrator

About me: I have been with the Trust since 2003, so Lockleaze is my second home. I also really enjoy seeing my friends here.
What do you love about Lockleaze?: I love the space and fresh air here which I find relaxing, and being so close to Stoke Park is great.
What should people talk to you about?: I administer the Finances so you can talk to me about any payments, or financial queries.

maria - community activator

About me: Delighted to be helping the residents of Lockleaze to work together and get involved to make our Community a great place to live.
What should people talk to you about?: My role is to engage with the community and spread the word about LNT and all that goes on at The Hub. I have a particular focus on promoting Sport and Physical Activity in Lockleaze - I lead our partnership with Wesport. I am also working on our Really Wild Lockleaze project - transforming Lockleaze with flowers and trees! Stop me for a chat or email me and let me know how I can help. Oh and I love beagles and hate rhubarb!

Alex - Community Led Housing Project Lead

About me: I manage our Community-led Housing project, Lockleaze Loves Homes.
What do you love about Lockleaze?: I love how green Lockleaze is! Through the project I have really enjoyed getting to know the community, working with residents to build a vision of homes and place that meet the needs of Lockleaze.
What should people talk to you about?: Lockleaze Loves Homes and other pipeline developments in Lockleaze. If you have an idea, question, comment or want to get involved, I would love to hear from you!

eric - resident ecologist

About me: I’m super excited about working with the community of Lockleaze to transform and rewild our green spaces. I love spending time in nature, skateboarding and Brazilian jui jitsu.
What do you love about Lockleaze?: People are coming and going all the time in The Hub and everyone is passionate about their local area. It’s a really nice atmosphere where people don’t feel at all afraid to wander in and ask for help or just for a chat.
What should people talk to you about?: Any ideas you may have for rejuvenating/rewilding our green space in Lockleaze. Also please send any interesting wildlife sightings my way!

OUr Reception post is currently vacant

Eleanor - Really Wild Project Coordinator

About me: I'm passionate about communities coming together to make their world a better place, and have been a community and environmental activist most of my adult life. I love the natural world, and I'm happiest on Purdown with my kids and dog!
What I love about Lockleaze: I've lived here for two years, but been around the place for longer. I love all the community groups, and the amazing access to nature open space, and views.
What people should talk to me about: Your ideas for bringing more nature into our greens, verges, and gardens, as well as ideas for how we can help each other reduce our carbon footprint, and stop climate change.
