CCA open meeting in Purdown - How did it go?

Many thanks to Salena and Zac for coming to the Community Climate Action open meeting last night over Purdown. It was great to hear about their ideas, solutions and passions for the environment.

Zac spoke about his passion for litter picking and his ideas and solutions for tackling single use plastic with the use of reusable containers. We explored the ideas of approaching supermarket chains to put pressure on them to provide the service.

Salena said "she felt empowered by the protest she had been on with Extinction Rebellion (XR), but was interested in what came next in regards to tackling the climate crisis. How we could work together on solutions as a community".

Salena expressed great enthusiasm to be part of the Lockleaze community climate action group and we spoke about how we can get more people involved with this group and also how to make our voices, as Lockleaze community, heard at COP 26 *.

We all agreed it was a great way to meet up and a great antidote to the 'Zoom' meeting. We will be having more outdoor meetings like this, so please do come along and bring your ideas and solutions.
