Countryside on your doorstep - Wellbeing Walk

A few of us enjoyed an eventful walk from the Hub to St Werburgh's city farm.

Lots of quirky and fun things to see on the walk including a hedge in the shape of a dog, the self-build homes and then the wonderful city farm, a charity bringing farm life to the city and supporting local food growers on the allotments.

Some lovely animals to see at the farm, including pigs, goats, sheep and chickens.  You really connect further with land, food and nature.

It's free to visit city farm (donations are welcome)  and it is open 7 days a week from 9am- 5pm

We also enjoyed a pit stop in the city farm cafe and had a cuppa and a little treat.

We also ran out of steam and got busses or a taxi back to the Hub!.

I asked the walkers what they thought of today's walk and here's what they had to say: " lovely countryside on my door step that I didn't know about, interesting walk and just lovely to be outside walking and talking".

Why don't you join us on our next free walk on Saturday 6th April 12 - 2.

We will meet up at 12 o'clock at the Hub and we will walk down to Duchess Pond, Stoke Park.  Lots of lovely wildlife to see!. We will get back to the Hub by 2pm

Please bring a picnic or some food and drink.

Children are welcome to join us but do need to be accompanied by an adult.

Please wear suitable clothing.

No need to book, just turn up at the Hub at 12 o'clock.
