On Monday 27th May (bank holiday) we will be hosting an event at Buzz Lockleaze, a bring and share feast - to share some more stories and get some responses to the stories and celebrate the process so far with the story collectors, the story tellers and the community. Everyone is WELCOME!
The clocks have changed and the evenings are getting warmer! Join us for some after-work gardening on your way home.
We are a friendly group of local volunteers digging, planting, pruning, hoeing and harvesting to create a space where everyone can enjoy nature and learn about growing food.
Come along for any amount of time that suits you - whether that's half an hour or the whole day!
What you might need:
- No gardening skills required, the team will be on hand to talk you through the tasks
- Bring gloves and tools if you have them although some will be provided.
Can't come but still want to help?
- Can you bake a cake to help nourish our wonderful volunteers?
- Can you help with watering? If you go past the orchard regularly, can you take a bottle of water for the plants? Drop us a message to find out more!
- Do you know an organisation who could have their corporate volunteer day at the orchard? We're putting together a package, email firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more.
A special thanks to Incredible Edible Bristol for lending us their tools for this work party!

I am running an 8-week mindfulness course at the Old Library on Muller Road starting on the 7th of January and finishing on the 25rd of February, consisting of 2-hour sessions every Monday, 7-9pm.
If you are interested in joining or would like to get some further information about the course, feel free to message me on the Mindful-U Facebook page or to visit my website www.mindful-u.co.uk.
I am teaching the well known 8-week MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) course. During this course you will learn step by step different mindfulness practices and how to include these skills in your daily life. Amongst many benefits, this course helps to reduce stress and anxiety, live life more fully in the present, improve the quality of your relationships, develop skills to face challenging times, get a better insight into the unhelpful habits of the mind and overall live a more fullfiling life.
However, these benefits will be proportional to your level of input, and comitment to the course. So if any of the above resonates with you, please get in touch and we can discuss if the course is suitable for you.
